We are excited to announce that Dr. Sierra Carter was awarded the 2026 International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS) Allwood Award for Excellence in Trauma Services for the Underserved in recognition of her pioneering work.  Dr. Carter’s work brings an increased focus to the Center on identifying novel approaches to prevent and heal trauma.
