Our work at CFR has been revolutionized by the addition of brain imaging methods to our mission of understanding the impact of environmental and societal influences on Black families. The shift from purely behavioral studies to ones geared toward understanding how social and behavioral influences affect the brain are deepening our ability to understand influences and develop more effective interventions.
