SAAF-Teen A Promising Program in Blueprints for Healthy Youth Development

The Strong African American Families – Teen Program has been accepted by Blueprints for Healthy Youth Development as one of their promising programs.  Blueprints provides a registry of evidence-based positive youth development programs designed to promote the health and well-being of children and teens.  As a Blueprints promising program the SAAF-T program meets the Blueprints criteria to have strong methodological grounding, evidence of program effectiveness, clearly defined goals and positive results for families.  Blueprints programs are reviewed by the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence at the University of Colorado Boulder and an advisory board consisting of experts in the field of positive youth development.  The Center for Family Research is excited to be included on the Blueprints national registry as one of their promising programs.  To read more about SAAF-T as a Blueprints promising program, please visit their web site:  http://www.blueprintsprograms.com/factsheet/strong-african-american-families-teen
